તબક] Nyaya-Kusuminjali in thee, the lord of the three worlds, his state of being born as a human being has been to no purpose, his birth in a noble family is of no avail, his scholarship is ignorance, his attainment of a high post is an object of sin, and his knowledge, meditations, austerities, silent prayers, etc., cause him pain only. (34)
જે કઈ દુર્ભાગી મનુષ્ય, હે ત્રિભુવનના નાથ ! તારી તરફ શ્રદ્ધાળુ ન હોય, તે કહેવું જોઈએ કે તેનું મનુષ્યત્વ નિષ્ફળ છે, તેને પ્રશસ્ત કુળમાં જન્મ પણ અકિચિકર છે, તેની વિદ્વત્તા અજ્ઞાનરૂપ છે, તેને ઊંચી પદવીની પ્રાપ્તિ પાપાસ્પદ છે અને જ્ઞાન, ધ્યાન, તપ, જપ વિગેરેની વિધિઓ તેને કેવલ કલેશકર છે. "-૩૪
तेषामुग्रतपस्यया भवतु ये त्वद्वाक्सुधास्वादिन
स्तेषामुग्रतपस्यया भवतु येऽत्वद्वाक्सुधास्वादिनः। . तैलेंभे शिवमन्दिरं सुकुतुकं यैः शिश्रिये त्वत्पथस्तैर्लेभेऽशिवमन्दिरं सकुतुकं यैः शिश्रियेऽत्वत्पथः ॥ ३५॥
There is no need of severe asceticism for those who taste the nectar of thy speech. The terrible austerities of those who taste the nectar-like speech of others than thine are of no avail. The temple of bliss was easily reached by those who followed thy instructions (lit. resorted to thy path) and the temple of misery, by those who followed the path of others. (85)
