2:448. ) Nyāya-Kusumānjali its piteous condition and trembling? Is it not on the contrary possible that the killer as he is engaged in a wicked act may go to hell ? (7)
આ વાત સર્વમાન્ય છે કે શુભ મનવૃત્તિથી સારી ગતિ અને દુષ્ટ મનોવૃત્તિથી દુષ્ટ ગતિ મળે છે. હવે યજ્ઞમાં ત્રાસજનક બરાડા પાડતા પશુનાં દીનતા, કંપારી વગેરે લક્ષણેથી તેનું આત ધ્યાન (ધ્યાન) જ્યારે સ્પષ્ટ માલુમ પડે છે તો પછી તે ૫શને સ્વર્ગની પ્રાપ્તિ કેમ સત્ર ભવી શકે? વળી વધ કરનાર તે દુષ્ટ પરિણામવાળો હોવાને લીધે તેને નરકગતિ કેમ ન સંભવે ? –૭.
शीघ्राऽऽकस्मिकवल्लभाऽऽशुभसमाचारश्रुतौ तत्क्षण __ स्वल्पं नो मुखतो निरेति रसना, कस्यैष न प्रत्ययः । दुर्मारेण विमार्यमाणपशवः स्फूर्जद्रसज्ञा बहिः
स्युः कीदृग्विपदापदे निपतिताः ! हो ! स्वयं ध्यायत ॥८॥
Who has not experienced that the tongue comes a little bit out of the mouth just on hearing the bad news all of a sudden about someone dear to us ? So you may think for yourself what calamity the animals that are being killed with severe beating and whose tongue is hanging ont, must have been subjected to. ( 8 )
સ્નેહીના એકદમ અકસ્માત અશુભ સમાચાર સાંભળતાં તેજ ક્ષણે જીભ હેજ મુખની બહાર નિકળી આવે છે, એ બધાઓને વિદિત છે; તે પછી દુષ્ટ મારથી હણાતા પશુઓ, કે જેઓની જીભ મોઢામાંથી બહાર નિકળીને તરફડીયા મારી રહી છે, તેને કેવી વિપત્તિમાં પડયા હશે, તેને તમે સ્વયં વિચાર કરી લેશો.”–૮
