(p. 1039) अह णवर तत्थ दोसो, जं गिम्ह-पओस-मल्लिआमोओ। अणुणअ-सुहाइ माणंसिणीण भोत्तुं चिअ ण देइ ॥ (अथ (? अयं) केवलं तत्र दोषो यद् ग्रीष्म-प्रदोष-मल्लिकामोदः । अननुय-सुखानि मनस्विनीनां भोक्तुमेव न ददाति ॥)

(p. 1039) अज्ज सहि राइ-सेसे माण-महूसव-सुहच्छिआरद्धे । सहसत्ति कुक्कुड-रवो णिसामिओ वज्झपडहो व्व ॥ (अद्य सखि रात्रिशेषे मान-महोत्सव-सुखासिकारब्धे । सहसा कुक्कुट-रवो निशामितो( = श्रुतो) वध्य-पटह इव ॥)
Note: The latter part of the second half of this gātha is identical with the corresponding part of of GS I. 29 :
अहिणवमेहाण रवो णिसामिओ वज्झ-पडहो व्व। 1216) Jaha jaha addhamai ravi......
(p. 1039) जह जह अस्थमइ रवी विहडिअ-संझाअवो पओसेण । तह तह माणो माणंसिणीण हिअएसु विज्झाइ । (यथा यथा अस्तमेति रविः विघटित-सन्ध्यातपः प्रदोषेण । तथा तथा मानो मनस्विनीनां हृदयेषु विध्यायति ॥)
Note : The latter part of the first half of this gātha reads 'Vada samhi' which is very corrupt and defies all attempts at restoration. As this gatha is cited to illustrate ' Pradosa', one of the causes of manabhanga, I have emended the reading to 'paosena'.
