6. The illustration of the Paurastya Apabhramsa (SP. p. 103 ). The text given there :
महाहि अकुटुंबि सामइन्दी हिरेरेभाउ जपिहुरि । विष्णउजान्तां वन्दरिवामेक्केरेधूजे वासां हावाथि । आंखोकांस काजाथितेहाथेञ्चित उदूकराए । वळ आच्छइणी जीव उपाथरुस अणइ भवर्णाहं वाच्छरं ॥
The passage is mostly impenetrable. Possibly the third line ends with taudukaru and the latter part of the fourth line is made up by jivau patharu (?) saanai bhavanahi vaccharu. The beginning can be made out as mayanāhiakudumbi-sama-indimdira etc. (i. e.mganābhikutumbi—syāma-bhramara ) The metre seems to be same Sama-catuspadi with possibly 28 Mātrās per line.
