The Apabhramsa Passages From SP एकस्मिन् अक्षिण श्रावणः अन्यस्मिन् भाद्रपदः । माघः महीतल-त्रस्तरे गण्डस्थले शरत् ॥ अङ्गे ग्रीष्मः सुखासिका तिलवने मार्गशिराः । तस्याः मुग्धायाः मुखपङ्कजे आवासितः शिशिरः ॥
The metre is Rāsaka or Rāsā valaya, for which see under no. 1 above.
12. The illustration of the first variety of Vakyābhidhāniki Vyapeksa ( SP. p. 269 ). The text as given in the SP.:
साउप्पन्नीगोटी डइनवस्विकवि......... ति । भडुपच्चलि इसोमरहजासुननलश्शइकठि॥
The same passage is cited as an illustration of Asargati a variety of Virodhā lankāra at SK., p. 341. The text as given there :
सा उप्पडी गो?उहि ॥ णोक्खी कावि विसगंठि । भिडिय पचेल्लिउ सो मरइ॥ज्जस्स ण लग्गइ लंठि।
This very passage with minor differences is cited under SH. 8.4.420 as an illustration , of the subsitution of paccalliu in Apabhramsa. for Sk. pratyuta. The text there is correctly preserved. It is as under :
साव-सलोणी गोरडी नवखी क वि विस-गंठि। . भडु पच्चल्लिउ सो मरइ जासु न लग्गइ कंठि ॥
Here the first two or three words are different from the text found in the ŚP. or SK. The suggested reconstrcution :
सा उप्पन्नी गोटुडइ नवखी (v. 1. नोक्खी) कवि विस-गंठि । भडु पच्चेल्लिउ सो मरइ जासु न लग्गइ कंठि॥
The Sanskrit chāyā :
सा उत्पन्ना गोष्ठके अभिनवा का अपि विष-ग्रन्थिः । भटः प्रत्युत सः मियते यस्य न लगति कण्ठे ॥
