The Apabhramsa Passages From SP
The same illustration occurs twice elsewhere in the SP. viz, on pp, 402 and 488. The text as given at the latter two places is identical with that given at SK. p. 374, but conside rably diifers from that given here. Possibly the text actually found in the SP. MSS in the earlier occurrences is recast by the editor of the SP. after the SK. text. The text as found in the KS. and correspondingly at SP. pp. 402 and 488 has a lacuna in the fourth line, while here that line is fully preserved.
The text is to be restored as follows:
गोरंग तरुणीअणु जोन्हहिं अहिसरइ सिअ णेवच्छ-परिच्छउ वल्लह-बद्ध- रइ । तच्छाअहं पुणु चल्लिउ सामल - गत्तिअहिं उ वे वहतिहिं अणुम्मत्तिअहं ॥
