9. All the citizens of Dwarka, important or ordinary, including Samudravijaya, heard this echo and were filled with joy. They all took their bath and got ready adorning themselves with new dresses, perfumes like sandal wood paste, and long garlands. They came to Krishna Vasudev riding elephant, horse, chariot or palanquin. Many of them formed groups and arrived walking.

सूत्र १०. तए णं कण्हे वासुदेवे समुद्दविजयपामोक्खे दस दसारे जाव अंतिय पाउब्भवमाणे पासइ । पासित्ता हट्ट तुट्ट जाव कोडुंबियपुरिसे सद्दावेइ, सद्दावेत्ता एवं वयासी - " खिप्पामेव भो देवाणुप्पिया ! चाउरंगिणिं सेणं सज्जेह, विजयं च गंधहत्थि उagaह ।" ते वि तह त्ति उवट्ठवेंति, जाव पज्जुवासंति ।
सूत्र १०. इन सबको देख कृष्ण वासुदेव प्रसन्न हुए और अपने सेवकों को बुलाकर आज्ञा दी - “देवानुप्रियो ! जल्दी से चतुरंगिनी सेना सजाओ और विजय नामक गंधहस्ती को ले आओ।” सेवकों ने उनकी आज्ञा का पालन किया। कृष्ण वासुदेव तैयार हुए और गंधहस्ती पर सवार हो अपने वैभव सहित अर्हत् अरिष्टनेमि के पास पहुँचे। वहाँ उन्होंने तीर्थंकर के अष्ट-प्रातिहार्य आदि देखे । वे गंधहस्ती से नीचे उतरे और पाँच अभिग्रह पूर्वक भगवान अरिष्टनेमि के निकट पहुँच यथाविधि वन्दना करके उपासना करने लगे ।

10. Krishna Vasudev was pleased to see them. He called his servants and ordered-"Beloved of gods! Prepare the armed forces to march and bring my great elephant Vijay immediately." The servants followed the orders. Krishna Vasudev got ready and came to Arhat Arishtanemi riding his elephant and with all his glory and grandeur. There he witnessed the eight divine insignia of the Tirthankar. He got down from the elephant. Taking five ritual vows he approached Arhat Arishtanemi and after performing formal obeisance worshipped the Tirthankar.

सूत्र ११. थावच्चापुत्ते वि निग्गए, जहा मेहे तहेव धम्मं सोच्चा णिसम्म जेणेव थावच्चा गाहावइणी तेणेव उवागच्छइ, उवागच्छित्ता, पायग्गहणं करे । जहा मेहस्स तहा चेव णिवेयणा । जाहे नो संचाएइ विसयाणुलोमाहि य विसयपडिकूलाहि य बहूहि आघवणाहि य पन्नवणाहि य सन्नवणाहि य विन्नवणाहि य आघवित्तए वा पन्नवित्तए वा सन्नवित्तए वा विन्नवित्तए वा, ताहे अकामिया चैव थावच्चापुत्तदारगस्स निक्खमणमणुमन्नित्था। नवरं निक्खमणाभिसेयं पासामो । तए णं से थावच्चापुत्ते तुसिणीए संचिट्ठा ।
