67. King Kumbh accepted the costly gifts and called Princess Malli He gave the divine earrings to her and let her wear them before going back.
King Kumbh honoured Arhannak and other merchants by gifting ample food, cloths and ornaments. He also exempted them from any levies and provided for a place to stay near the highway.
सूत्र ६८. तए णं अरहन्नगसंजत्तगा जेणेव रायमग्गमोगाढे आवासे तेणेव उवागच्छंति, उवागच्छित्ता भंडववहरणं करेंति, करित्ता पडिभंडं गेण्हंति, गेण्हित्ता सगडिसागडं भरेंति, जेणेव गंभीरए पोयपट्टणे तेणेव उवागच्छंति, उवागच्छित्ता पोयवहणं सज्जेंति, सज्जित्ता भंडं संकाति, दक्खिणाणुकूलेणं वाएणं जेणेव चंपाए पोयट्ठाणे तेणेव उवागच्छंति, उवागच्छित्ता पोयं लंबेंति, लंबित्ता सगडिसागडं सज्जेंति, सज्जित्ता तं गणिमं धरिमं मेज्जं पारिच्छेज्जं सगडीसागडं संकामेंति, संकामेत्ता जाव महत्थं पाहुडं दिव्यं च कुंडलजुयलं गेहंति, गेण्हित्ता जेणेव चंदच्छाए अंगराया तेणेव उवागच्छंति, उवागच्छित्ता तं महत्थं जाव उवणेति।
सूत्र ६८. राजा द्वारा बताये आवास पर आकर उन्होंने अपना माल बेचना आरंभ कर दिया। सारा माल बेचकर उन्होंने वहाँ से नया माल खरीदकर अपनी गाड़ियाँ भरी और गम्भीर बन्दरगाह पर आकर नाव तैयार कर उसमें वह माल भर लिया। वहाँ से जलमार्ग द्वारा वे चम्पानगरी के बन्दरगाह पर आये और अपना माल गाड़ियों में भर दिया। फिर वे वहुमूल्य भेंट सामग्री तथा कुंडलों की बची हुई दूसरी जोड़ी लेकर अंगराज चन्द्रच्छाय के दरबार में गये और भेंट राजा के समक्ष रख दी।
68. After settling at the house allotted by the king they started trading their goods. Selling all their stock and purchasing local goods they reloaded their carts and came to the port. Loading their ship they started on their journey back to the port of Champa. They filled their carts with the merchandise and went to the court of King Chandracchaya of Anga with valuable gifts and the remaining pair of divine earrings. The gifts were now placed before the king. ___ सूत्र ६९. तए णं चंदच्छाए अंगराया तं दिव्वं महत्थं च कुंडलजुयलं पडिच्छइ, पडिच्छित्ता ते अरहन्ननगपामोक्खे एवं वयासी-“तुब्भे णं देवाणुप्पिया ! बहूणि गामागर० जाव सन्निवेसाई आहिंडह, लवणसमुदं च अभिक्खणं अभिक्खणं पोयवहणेहिं ओगाहेह, तं अत्थियाइं भे केइ कहिंचि अच्छेरए दिट्ठपुव्वे ?"
