81. The goldsmiths said, "As you say, Sire." and took the earrings to their smithy. They tried their best, using all the skill at their command, to braze the joint but failed.
Getting disappointed they came to the king, greeted him with joined palms and said, “Sire ! You called us today and instructed us to repair the earrings. We took these earrings to our smithy and tried our best to braze the joint but failed. If your excellency permits we may make a new pair like this." सुनारों का देश निकाला
सूत्र ८२. तए णं से कुंभए राया तीसे सुवण्णगारसेणीए अंतिए एयमढे सोच्चा निसम्म आसुरुत्ते तिवलियं भिउडिं निडाले साहटु एवं वयासी
"केस णं तुब्भे कलायणं भवह ? जे णं तुब्भे इमस्स कुंडलजुयलस्स नो संचाएह संधिं संघाडेत्तए?" ते सुवण्णगारे निव्विसए आणवेइ।
सूत्र ८२. सुनारों की बात सुनकर राजा कुंभ कुपित हो गये। उनके ललाट पर तीन सलवट पड़ गये। उन्होंने सुनारों से कहा-"तुम कैसे सुनार हो जो इस कुण्डलों की जोड़ी में झाल भी नहीं लगा सकते?" और राजा ने उन्हें देश निकाले की आज्ञा दे दी।

82. Hearing about the failure of the goldsmiths King Kumbh got angry. He frowned deeply and addressed the goldsmiths, "What sort of goldsmiths are you, who could not do a simple thing like brazing a joint of these earrings?" And he issued orders for their deportation.
सूत्र ८३. तए णं ते सुवण्णगारा कुंभेणं रण्णा निव्विसया आणत्ता समाणा जेणेव साई साइं गिहाई तेणेव उवागच्छति, उवागच्छित्ता सभंडमत्तोवगरणमायाए मिहिलाए रायहाणीए मज्झमज्झेणं निक्खमंति। निक्खमित्ता विदेहस्स जणवयस्स मज्झमझेणं जेणेव कासी जणवए, जेणेव वाणारसी नयरी तेणेव उवागच्छंति। उवागच्छित्ता अग्गुज्जाणंसि सगडीसागडं मोएंति, मोइत्ता महत्थं जाव पाहुडं गेहंति, गेण्हित्ता वाणारसीए नयरीए मझमज्झेणं जेणेव संखे कासीराया तेणेव उवागच्छंति, उवागच्छित्ता करयल. जाव वद्धाति, वद्धावित्ता पाहुडं पुरओ ठावेंति, ठावित्ता संखरायं एवं वयासी
