88. Malladinna now called a number of painters and said, “Beloved of gods ! Fill my art gallery with paintings on various subjects, themes, postures, gestures, and moods." Following the order the painters returned and came back after collecting paints, brushes and other equipment from their homes. With all this material they entered the gallery and allotted a specific work area to each. Every artist prepared his area and started work.
मल्लीकुमारी का चित्र
सूत्र ८९. तए णं एगस्स चित्तगरस्स इमेयारूवे चित्तगरलद्धी लद्धा पत्ता अभिसमन्नागया-जस्स णं दुपयस्स वा चउपयस्स वा अपयस्स वा एगदेसमवि पासइ, तस्स णं देसाणुसारेणं तयाणुरूवं रूवं निव्वत्तेइ।
तए णं से चित्तगरदारए मल्लीए जवणियंतरियाए जालंतरेण पायंगुळं पासइ।
तए. णं तस्स चित्तगरस्स इमेयारूवे अज्झत्थिए जाव समुप्पजित्था सेयं खलु ममं मल्लीए वि पायंगुट्ठाणुसारेणं सरिसगं जाव गुणोववेयं रूवं निव्वत्तित्तए, एवं संपेहेइ, संपेहित्ता भूमिभागं सज्जेइ, सज्जित्ता मल्लीए वि पायंगुट्ठाणुसारेणं जाव निव्वत्तेइ।
सूत्र ८९. उन चित्रकारों में एक चित्रकार में ऐसी असाधारण क्षमता (लब्धि प्राप्त) थी कि वह किसी दोपाये, चौपाये अथवा अन्य किसी वस्तु का एक अवयव मात्र दिखाई दे जाने पर उस वस्तु का सम्पूर्ण चित्र बना सकता था। ___ एक बार उस विशिष्ट चित्रकार ने पर्दे की ओट में रही मल्लीकुमारी के पैर का अंगूठा किसी जाली के छेद में से देखा। तब उसके मन में विचार उठा कि मल्लीकुमारी के अंगूठे से प्रेरित हो उनकी सम्पूर्ण चित्र अनुकृति बनानी चाहिये। उसने अपने विचार को क्रियान्वित करने के लिए दीवाल के एक भाग को तैयार किया और चित्र बनाकर पूरा किया।

89. Among those artists there was one who had the astonishing ability to paint a subject, be it man, animal or anything else, completely even if he had just a glimpse of a small part of its body.
This artist once happened to see a toe of veiled Princess Malli from a hole in a grill. He immediately thought that inspired by this glimpse of the toe of the princess he should make a life size portrait of the
