148. The thrones of all these gods at the edge of the universe started trembling. Getting aware of the desire of Arhat Malli to get initiated they thought, "To formally request for initiation to the Tirthankars with desire to renounce is our traditional duty, so we should perform it." They transformed into the Uttar Vaikriya bodies and like the Jrimbhak gods traveled infinite Yojans to arrive at the palace of King Kumbh. Dressed in colourful apparel fitted with sweetly resonating rattles these gods appeared before Arhat Malli and joining their palms uttered in melodious voice
“Bhagavan ! Lord of the universe ! Please pursue the path of enlightenment. Please establish the ford of religion, propagated as the path of liberation, that is the source of beneficence and happiness for all beings." They uttered these words three times and returned after bowing before Arhat Malli.

सूत्र १४९. तए णं मल्ली अरहा तेहिं लोगंतिएहिं देवेहिं संबोहिए समाणे जेणेव अम्मापियरो तेणेव उवागच्छइ, उवागच्छित्ता करयल - "इच्छामि णं अम्मयाओ ! तुब्भेहिं अब्भणुण्णाए समाणे मुंडे भवित्ता जाव पव्वइत्तए ।"
" अहासुहं देवाणुप्पिया ! मा पडिबंधं करेह । "
सूत्र १४९. तब अर्हत् मल्ली अपने माता-पिता के पास गए और हाथ जोड़कर कहा" हे माता - पिता ! मेरी इच्छा है कि आपकी आज्ञा पाकर, गृह त्यागकर, मुंडित होकर अनगार - प्रव्रज्या ग्रहण करूँ ।"
माता-पिता ने उत्तर दिया- "हे देवानुप्रिये ! तुम्हें जिसमें सुख प्राप्त हो वैसा निर्विलम्ब करो।"
149. Arhat Malli now went to her parents and joining her palms she said, "Father and mother! With your permission I wish to abandon the home, shave and get initiated as a homeless ascetic."

सूत्र १५०. तए णं कुंभए राया कोडुंबियपुरिसे सद्दावेइ, सद्दावित्ता एवं वयासी“खिप्पामेव अट्ठसहस्सं सोवण्णियाणं जाव अट्ठसहरसाणं भोमेज्जाणं कलसाणं ति । अण्णं च महत्थं जाव तित्थयराभिसेयं उवट्ठवेह | " जाव उवट्ठवेंति ।
