137. Here, Arhat Malli resolved, “I shall get initiated exactly after one year from this date." __ सूत्र १३८. तेणं कालेणं तेणं समएणं सक्कस्स आसणं चलइ। तए णं सक्के देविंदे देवराया आसणं चलियं पासइ, पासित्ता ओहिं पउंजइ, पउंजित्ता मल्लिं अरहं ओहिणा आभोएइ, आभोइत्ता इमेयारूवे अज्झथिए जाव समुप्पज्जित्था-“एवं खलु जंबुद्दीवे दीवे भारहे वासे मिहिलाए रायहाणीए कुंभगस्स रण्णो मल्ली अरहा निक्खमिस्सामि ति मणं पहारेइ।"
सूत्र १३८. अर्हत् मल्ली के संकल्प करने पर, उस समय शक्रेन्द्र का आसन डोलने लगा। इस पर उन्होंने अपने अवधिज्ञान से जाना कि जम्बूद्वीप के भारतवर्ष की मिथिला नगरी के राजा कुम्भ की पुत्री अर्हत् मल्ली ने यह संकल्प किया है कि वे एक वर्ष पश्चात् दीक्षा लेंगी। ____138. सूत्र १३९. “तं जीयमेयं तीय-पच्चुप्पन्न-मणागयाणं सक्काणं देविंदाणं देवरायाणं, अरहंताणं भगवंताणं णिक्खममाणाणं इमेयारूवं अत्थसंपयाणं दलित्तए। तं जहा
तिण्णेव य कोडिसया, अट्ठासीइं च होंति कोडीओ।
असिइं च सयसहस्सा, इंदा दलयंति अरहाणं॥" सूत्र १३९. शक्रेन्द्र ने विचार किया-“अतीत, वर्तमान और भविष्य के शक्र देवेन्द्रों का यह कर्त्तव्य है कि तीर्थंकर भगवान जब दीक्षा लेने वाले हों तब उन्हें दान हेतु प्रचुर सम्पदा उपलब्ध करानी चाहिए। उसका प्रमाण है-तीन अरब अट्ठासी करोड़ अस्सी लाख सुवर्ण-मुद्रायें इन्द्र अर्हतों को देते हैं।" THE GREAT CHARITY ___139. Shakrendra thought, “It is the duty of the Shakrendras of the past, present and future that when a Tirthankar resolves to get initiated he should be provided with heaps of wealth for charity. The traditionally prescribed amount of this wealth is three billion eight hundred eighty eight million gold coins."
