abundance of auspicious signs. The southern wind was favourable. The fields were lush green and rich with crops. Masses were exultant with joy. It was the fourth month and the eighth fortnight of the winter season. It was the fourth day of the bright half of the month of Phalgun.
At midnight when the moon entered the first (Ashwin) lunar mansion the soul of Mahabal, completed its thirty two Sagaropam age, state, and life as god, and left the Jayant dimension of gods. Equipped with three types of knowledge and transforming the state, constitution, and factors of sustenance from the divine realm to the human realm, it descended into the womb of queen Prabhavati Devi, wife of King Kumbh of Mithila city in Bharat area. __ सूत्र २२. तं रयणिं च णं पभावई देवी तंसि तारिसगंसि वासभवणंसि सयणिज्जंसि जाव अद्धरत्तकालसमयंसि सुत्तजागरा ओहीरमाणी ओहीरमाणी इमेयारूवे उराले कल्लाणे सिवे धण्णे मंगल्ले सस्सिरीए चउद्दसमहासुमिणे पासित्ता णं पडिबुद्धा। तं जहा
गय-वसह-सीह-अभिसेय-दाम-ससि-दिणयर-झय-कुंभे।
पउमसर-सागर-विमाण-रयणुच्चय-सिहिं च॥ तए णं सा पभावई देवी जेणेव कुंभए राया तेणेव उवागच्छइ, उवागच्छित्ता जाव भत्तार-कहणं, सुमिणपाढगपुच्छा जाव विहरइ।
सूत्र २२. उस रात स्वच्छ शयनागार में सोई हुई प्रभावती देवी चौदह महास्वप्न देखकर जागी-(१) हाथी, (२) वृषभ, (३) सिंह, (४) देवी लक्ष्मी का अभिषेक, (५) पुष्प माला, (६) चन्द्रमा, (७) सूर्य, (८) ध्वजा, (९) कुम्भ, (१०) पद्म-सरोवर, (११) सागर, (१२) देव विमान (भवन), (१३) रत्न राशि, और (१४) निधूम अग्नि।
इन स्वप्नों की बात उसने कुंभ राजा से बताई। राजा ने स्वप्न पाठकों से उनका फल पूछा और वे प्रसन्न हो समय बिताने लगे।
22. That night Prabhavati Devi awoke when she saw the fourteen great dreams. They are-1. an elephant, 2. a bull, 3. a lion, 4. annointing of goddess Laxmi, 5. a garland of flowers, 6. the moon, 7. the sun, 8. a flag, 9. an urn, 10. a lotus flower pond, 11. a sea, 12. a vehicle of gods, 13. a heap of gems, and 14. smokeless flames of fire.
