64. When the other disciples of Ascetic Shailak heard the news they assembled and thought, "Now that Ascetic Shailak and Panthak have resumed the harsh itinerant life we should join them." And they joined back Ascetic Shailak.
Later they all went to the Shatrunjaya Hills and attained liberation after taking the ultimate vow like Thavacchaputra.
उपसंहार
सूत्र ६५. एवामेव समणाउसो ! जो निग्गंथो वा निग्गंथी वा जाव विहरिस्सइ., एवं खलु जंबू ! समणेणं भगवया महावीरेणं पंचमस्स नायज्झयणस्स अयमढे पन्नते त्ति बेमि।
सूत्र ६५. हे आयुष्मन् श्रमणो ! जो साधु ऐसा आचरण करेगा वह अंततः संसार भ्रमण से मुक्ति प्राप्त करेगा। _हे जम्बू ! श्रमण भगवान महावीर ने पाँचवें ज्ञाताध्ययन का यही अर्थ कहा है। ऐसा मैं कहता हूँ।
CONCLUSION
65. Blessed ones! The ascetic who follows such conduct gets liberated in the end.
Jambu! This is the text and the meaning of the fifth chapter of the Jnata Sutra as told by Shraman Bhagavan Mahavir. So I confirm.

उपसंहार
ज्ञाताधर्मकथा की इस पाँचवीं कथा में शिथिलाचार के दोष को प्रकट किया है। साधु अथवा संयम के मार्ग पर चलने का नियम ले लेने वाला निरन्तर साधना के पथ पर विकास की दिशा में गतिमान होता है। उसे शैल खण्ड के समान गतिहीन अथवा शिथिल नहीं होना चाहिए। प्रमादग्रस्त हो शिथिल हो जाने वाला अपना इहलोक ही नहीं परलोक भी खराब कर लेता है और संसार चक्र में उलझ जाता है। मुक्ति प्राप्त करने का साधन है निरन्तर अप्रमत्त
