He enlivens the religious organization and subjugates the transgressors. He is revered by the learned ones and in the end attains the status of Siddha. (14)
परिशिष्ट
कुडव-भार का प्राचीन नाम। दो असई की एक पसई, दो पसई या दो खोबा की एक सेतिका, चार सेतिका का एक कुडव और चार कुडव का एक प्रस्थ होता है। दशकुमारचरित्र के अनुसार एक प्रस्थ चार सेर का होता है। अतः कुडव एक सेर के बराबर होना चाहिए।
APPENDIX
Kudav-An ancient weight measure popular in Magadh. Two Asai equals one Pasai, two Pasai or two Khova equals one Setika, four Setika equals one Kudav, and four Kudav is one Prasth. According to Dashkumar Charitra one Prasth is equivalent to four seers. Thus one Kudav is equivalent to one seer or about one kilogram.
