down his head alongwith the dropping of tears of joy with his hands folded and pay obeisance to your lotus feet. He thereby makes his minds and hearts fully satisfied.
त्रस्तारातिरिति त्रिकालविदिति त्राता त्रिलोक्या इति, श्रेयः सूति-रितिश्रियां निधिरिति, श्रेष्ठः सुराणामिति। प्राप्तोऽहंशरणं शरण्य-मगतिस्त्वां तत्-व्यजोपेक्षणम्, रक्ष क्षेमपदं प्रसीद जिन! किं, विज्ञापितैर्गोपितैः।।16।।
हे भगवन! (त्रस्त आराति इति) आप शत्रुओं को नष्ट करने वाले हैं, इसलिये (त्रकालविद् इति) आप तीनों लोकों के ज्ञाता हैं, इसलिये (त्रिलोक्याः त्राता इति) आप तीन लोकों के रक्षक हैं, इसलिये (श्रेयः सुतिरिति) आप कल्याण की उत्पत्ति करने वाले हैं, इसलिये (श्रियां निधिरिति) लक्ष्मी की निधि हैं, इसलिये और (सुराणां श्रेष्ठः) देवों में श्रेष्ठ हैं, इसलिये (अगतिः अह) अन्य उपाय से रहित ऐसा मैं (शरण्य) शरण देने में निपुण (क्षेमपद) कुशल मंगल के स्थानभूत (त्वां शरणं) आपकी शरण को (प्राप्तः) प्राप्त हुआ हूँ; (तत्) इसलिये जिन!) हे जिनदेव (उपेक्षण त्यज) उपेक्षा को छोड़िये, (रक्ष) मेरी रक्षा कीजिये (प्रसीद), प्रसन्न होइये (विज्ञपितैः गोपितैः किम्), मेरी इस प्रार्थना को गुप्त रखने से क्या प्रयोजन? अर्थात् इस प्रार्थना को गुप्त रखने से क्या लाभ? आप सर्वज्ञ हैं, सभी जानते हैं।
Oh, Bhagwān! you have annihilated (eradicated) your fatal karmas and consequently you have attained omniscience. You are the knower of all the objects of all the three universes. You have there by become the saviour of all the living beings of) three universes; You have there by become the generator of well beings of living beings and therefore you are the teacher of the goddess of wealth. You are the supreme God of gods and that is why, I have come to you and taken your shelter which yields safety, security and well being to all.
Oh, Jinendra dev! give up the disregardful attitude, save me and please attention to my humble prayer as you are omniscient, you very well know the volitions of my innermost.
त्रिलोक-राजेन्द्र-किरीट-कोटि-प्रभाभि-रालीढ़-पदार-विन्दम्। निर्मूल-मुन्मूलित-कर्म-वृक्षं, जिनेन्द्र-चन्द्रं प्रणमामि भक्त्या।।17।।
