5. Svaroopa Daya-To analyse the 'Self', to distinguish it from
the body and thus disclose its real essence. 6. Anubandha Daya-It would look rather odd and irreligious,
if a teacher or spiritual guide exhorts in astute but bitter terms or even thrashes his disobedient pupil or disciple; but the motive of the teacher in punishing his pupil is to do him good, to set him right; so this act is a kind of Daya or motive cha
rity. The end justifies the means. 7. Vyavahara Daya-To perform charity with carefulness and
strict adherence 10 the rules prescribed in the shastras or
scriptures. 8. Nishchaya Duya-Intentness on and undivided attention to
evolving the real essense of 'Self'. Thus Lord Mahaveera in culcates the Vyalıvahara Dharma. If we ponder over the afore-said forms of charity, we can not fail to realize that this Vyavahara Dharma or Prescribed Religion comprises happiness, delight and security to the whole animate creation.
Now to Nishchaya Dharma. To dispel illusion and know ‘oneself'; to think that I am not Sansara, the Sansara is not 'I': to discard' Ego'; to believe that I am not body; I am soul; to realize the bydy and the soul are two distinct things, the body is matter, I am spirit:-all this comes under Nishichaya Dharma. Any action tending to afflictions, wrongs or displeasure to any sentiest being is void of Daya or charity; and where there is no Daya, there is no Dharma. Daya is the foundation of Dharma. Under the Dharma laid down by Lord Mahaveera, every embodied Soul, every living being is secure, free from fear. Now we pass to Sadgurutattva.

To be well-versed in worldly matters, the study of arts and crafts is essential , similarly for a higher and nobler life in this and the next birth the study of religion is essential.
