Anand-While they were keeping none, and you are keep ing 500 flags, then could it not seem you possess more knowledge than all those had ? Yashovijayaji was taken aback, and prostrated before Anandghanji. He orderd all flag-bearers to go to their respective towns. In spite of this lesson, it will appear from what it will follow that Yashovijayaji had not totally given up external appendages. Vinayavijayaji halted at Cambay for 4 months. At this time Cambay was a great commercial port and its Jain, shravakas were wealthy and prosperous, firm in faith and obidient to the gurus. In this town there were many Brahmin pandits. They always came and debated - with Vinayavijayaji, when the latter would proceed with his morning sermon. On account of this, Vinayavijayaji could not go on smoothly with his lecture and Shrava. kas could not hear the same and so they got disappointed. Then Vinayavijayaji called Yashovijayaji to stop the discussion with the Brahmins at one stroke. Yashovijayaji came and devised a new plan. He composed a verse containing a greater number of 1abials as प्. फ. ब. भ. & म्. The same was attached on a door of the upashraya with a note thereto to this effect that he who wished to debate, could enter into the upashrayz and debate, only if he could speak out the above-mentioned verse without
