न यस्य मित्र न च कोपि शत्रु निजः परो नाऽपि न कश्ानार्थ । . न येंद्रियार्थेषु रमेत चेतः
कषायमुक्तः परम सयोगी॥ All the above has been gathered from different stories told of Yashovijayaji but it is not verified by any documentary evidence. How far is the same in conformity of truth, is left to be judged by the reader to his discretion, but so far as our hero's visit to Benares for study and obtaining diplomas go, they are verified by the following verse in HTETITHI91 which is his own work
पूर्व न्यायाविशारदत्वविरुदं, काश्यां प्रदत्तं बुधै
न्यायाचार्यपदं ततः कृतशतग्रंथस्य यस्यार्पितम् ॥ The learned men Kashi first gave a diploma of Nyayavisharada (Proficient in logic) to him and then gave a diploma of Nyayacharya when he composed one hundred works.
He composed many scientific works, and was a doctor of logic. It can be said of him as father of modern Jain logic! He collected all the different logical theories of our for mer acharyas aud harmonised them in one whole. He contributed too much to Jain logic by spinping out our old Jain logic and refuting many theories of other logicians. He is said to have composed two lacs of verses, and one hundred works on pure logic.
All these services were useful only to those, who were well-versed in Sanskrit. He was at the same time not negligent as to undervalue the ordinary intellectual power of the masses. He composed many works in Gujarati verse on different subjects suited to them, so that they could understand and digest them.
Besides this, he was a great reformer and a Luther of his times. He in company with Satyavijayaji at the instance of
