छन्दोदर्शनम्
पदपाठ :- सरस्वति । त्वम् । वैश्वानरेण । तेज॑सा ।
आग्नेयेन॑ । आ॒त्मन॑म् । सम्ऽईता | चेत॑सः । अन्तरिति ॥
अन । स्वसि । ज्योतिष्मती । चित्ती ।
वाक् । विदा | मिथुनम् । हृदा । आ॒त्मन॑ः । अधि॑ । पूर्व्यम् ॥
Oh Sarasvati! through Vaiśvānara i. e. the fiery principle in all beings, you are united with the Atman who is within all creatures. You are the consort of Agni, the God of Fire and you by your power of light give expression to words. Vak, by the powers of consciousness, is wholly one with the Atman and both are from the beginning a perfect couple.
अन्वयभाष्यम् ।
हे सरस्वति ! त्वं वैश्वानरेण सर्वप्राणिसम्बन्धिना तेजसा आग्नेयेन आन्तर्येण जाठरेण चेतसः चेतनात् अन्तः अन्ततः आत्मानं सर्वान्तरं अन्विता अनुगता सती अग्नायी अग्निजाया चित्ती चित्त्या आत्मज्योतिषा सङ्गता ज्योतिष्मती त्वमपि ज्योतिर्मयी सम्पन्ना
इति, अतः तया आत्मचेतनया स्वरसि शब्दायसे अन्तःस्फुरणेन, तस्मात् सा वागेव विदा चेतनासंविदादियोगेन हृदा तदनुभावेन हृदय्येन च आत्मनः अधि आत्मचेतनाधिष्टितं अरं पूर्णं तत्समानं मिथुनं तादात्म्ययोगेन सम्मिलितं नित्यसिद्धं तद्युगलमिति ॥
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION
Oh Sarasvati! Vaiśvānara is the inner fire in all living beings. Being one with that inner principle of fire in all, you are united with the Atman. You are, as it were, the wife of Agni. You express yourself in the form of words on account of your powers of inner intelligence. Vāk is equal to Atman and abiding in His energy. Being identical with Him you (Vāk and Atman) are perfect mates.

सन्निर्यच्छसि प्राणं प्रणय॑स्यन्तः ॥

वाग् वि॒दा मि॑थु॒नं हृ॒दा प्रा॒णस्याधि पूय॑म् ॥ २ ॥
