by error or transgression, may the Water-deities cleanse and purify me who is their own.
एकादशी ऋक् । नमस्ते गङ्गे यमुने सरस्वति सगापौ मातरो मृळयंत मह्यम् ॥ विश्वं ममैनौ वहत ज्योतिषाऽऽत्मन्
दर्शयत ज्योतिर्विश्वस्य दर्शयत् ॥ ११ ॥ पदपाठः – नमः । ते । गङ्गे । यमुने । सरस्वति ।
सम् । आपः । मातरः । मृळयत । मह्यम् ॥ विश्वम् । मम । एनः । वहत । ज्योतिषा । आत्मन् ।
दर्शयत । ज्योतिः। विश्वस्य । दर्शयत् ॥ Salutations to you Oh deities, and mothers the Ganges, the Yamunā and the Sarasvati. May you grant me happiness and wash away all my sins by the light of the supreme soul. And may you show me the Light Divine that illumines the whole universe.
अन्वयभाष्यम् । हे गङ्गे! यमुने! सरस्वति ! रसवति देवि ते तुभ्यं नमः नमस्कृतिः अस्तु, हे आपः! मातरः! मह्यं मदर्थे संमृळयत मृडयत सुखयत, स्वरसेन मां रसयत इति भावः, मम विश्व एनः नीचैः पतनकारणीभूतं दुर्वृत्तं दुश्चिन्तनं दौमनस्यादिकं सर्वं दोषजातं ज्योतिषा सुवीर्यवत्तरेण रससत्त्वेन च सह ज्योतिरात्मनि चैतन्यज्योतिरात्मनि वहत प्रणयत प्रापयत, तथा विश्वस्य दर्शयत् प्रकाशकं ज्योतिःस्वरूपं मदर्थे शुद्धसत्त्वाय मह्यं दर्शयत प्रकाशयत, मां इमं तस्य ज्योतिरात्मनः साक्षात्कारपात्रं सम्भावयत इति ॥
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION Oh Water-deities, Ganga, Yamuna and Sarasvati, full of essences, salutations to you. Oh mothers, may you gladden me, delight me with your essence. May you carry away all my sin which degenerate me. Wash off my evil habits, bad thinking, wicked-mindedness etc. Fill me with the light of the Atma, which is all-energy. And also, may you show me the Light that illumines the whole universe and make me a pure one worthy of realising the same.
॥ इति सप्तमेऽनुवाके द्वितीयं अप्सूक्तम् समाप्तम् || Thus ends the Second hymn in the Seventh Section.
