them expand this universe which is formed by them, with their substance. Let them create the visible universe, which is now formed by light and the essence only, in the form of concrete seed and field. Likewise, Vak in the form of light and mind in the form of food co-exist in the body and soul of all. Cf. “May my Vak be established in mind and mind be established in my Vak” (Ait. Up. 1-1). May these two flourish within the body and soul and bless their own universe.
पञ्चमी ऋक् । अग्निज्योतिषा पूरुषोऽसौ सरस्वान् सोमो रसाय्यः सा सती सरस्वती ॥ उषासानक्ताभ्यामे॒तौ वृतौ मिथ
स्तावग्नीषोमौ मृळयतां स्वं विश्वम् ॥ ५ ॥ पदपाठः – अग्निः । ज्योतिषा । पुरुषः । असौ । सरस्वान् ।
सोमः । रसायं । सा । सती । सरस्वती ॥ उषसानक्ताभ्याम् । एतौ । वृतौ । मिथः । तौ । अग्नीषोमौ । मृळयताम् । स्वम् । विश्वम् ।।
Agni is the Purusha in the form of the sun with light, he is Sarasvän. Soma is full of essence and is Sarasvati, the wife. They are united with each other as at the time of dawn in the morning. May Agni and Soma bless this universe of theirs.
अन्वयभाष्यम् । अयं अग्निः ज्योतिषा तेजोमयबीजसत्त्वेन युक्तः पुरुषः पुरुषसत्त्वः, असौ दिव्यः आदित्य: सरस्वान् दिव्यरसास्पदीभूत: अपां वर्षकत्वात्, "दिव्यं सुपर्णं वायसं बृहन्तमपा गर्भ दर्शतमोषधीनाम् | अभीपतो वृष्टिभिस्तर्पयन्तं सरस्वन्तमवसे जोहवीमि" (ऋ. मं. १-१६४-५२) इति तदनुश्रवणम् ॥ सोमः स: दिव्यः परोक्षतया सिद्धः रसात्मा क्षेत्रसत्त्वरूपा सती जाया अमुष्य सूर्यस्य सरस्वतः शक्तिरूपा सरस्वती इति सम्पद्यते, तौ इमौ अग्नीषोमात्मको सूर्याचन्द्रमसौ अहोरात्राभ्यां तत्कालशक्तिदेवताभ्यां ज्योतीरसाधिष्ठिताभ्यां उषोरात्रिभ्यां मिथः वृतौ मिथुनरूपेण संसृष्टौ तौ अग्नीषोमौ स्वीयमिदं विश्वं जगत् मृळयतां सुखयतां तेजोरसाभ्यामिति ||
