Soma) are the enjoyer and the enjoyed, created for each other and are united. They have entered into the bodies of all the living beings. May these Agni-Soma gods be gracious to this universe.
This Agni dwells inside all bodies as Vaišvānara. He is the enjoyer of all oblation. That is the spiritual principle. Viśvāmitra says in this connection, "I am Agni by birth knower of all and everything; nectar is in
my mouth; I am the inexhaustible heat-light. I am the oblation" (Rg. III-26-7). Again, "I am inexhaustible heat-light and all oblations I am" ( Sama Veda). " This is indeed the King Soma." “He is the food of gods.
Him the gods eat" (Chhā. Up. V-10-4). "I am the food. I am the foodeater. I eat him who eats food" (Tai. Up. III-10-6).
तृतीया ऋक् । अग्निरयमन्तश्चिता ज्योतिषा वाक् सोमोऽनवानन्नचितं तन्मनः ॥ ते आत्मन्यन्तर्मियोऽधि प्रतीरिते
तावग्नीषोमो मृळयतां स्वं विश्वम् ॥ ३ ॥ पदपाठः - अग्निः । अयम् । अन्तः । चिता । ज्योतिषा । वाक् ।
सोमः । अन्नऽवान् । अन्नऽचितम् । तत् । मनः ॥ ते इति। आत्मनि । अन्तरिति। मिथः । अधि । प्रति। ईरिते इति । तौ । अग्नीषोमौ । मृळयताम् । स्वम् । विश्वम् ॥
This is Agni, who is Vak (power of speech) within ( the body) with knowledge and light. Soma possesses food, and mind is born of food. They inspire each other within the soul, being inspired themselves. May they, Agni and Soma be gracious to their own universe.
अन्वयभाष्यम् । सोऽयमेव अग्निः सर्वेषां अन्तः आत्मन: ज्योतिषा स्वेन तेजःसत्त्वेन चिता चेतनया संविदा सञ्चिता वाक् स्वयं वागरूप एव भवति | " मुखादिन्द्रश्चाग्निश्च " (ऋ. मं. १०-९०-१३) इति ऋङ्मन्त्रवर्णः, “ मुखादग्निरजायत" (शु. य. सं.३०-१३) “मुखं निरभिद्यत मुखाद् वाग् वाचोऽग्निः" (ऐ.उ. १-४ ) " अग्निर्वाग्भूत्वा मुखं प्राविशत्" (ऐ. उ. २-४) इति च स्पष्टार्थकं तदनुश्रवणम् वाचः अग्निस्वरूपत्त्वे प्रमाणम् , तस्या वाचः ज्योतीरूपत्वमपि संवित्सत्त्वसिद्धम्, तथा हि - “अस्तमित आदित्ये याज्ञवल्क्य
