छन्दोदर्शनम्
सप्तमी ऋक् । यो अग्निं वायुमादित्यं च चितिभि
म्भिाहृतिभिनि दधे पदानि ॥ ज्योतिष्पदानि यो भुवनेष्वधीन्द्रः
परस्मात् पुरुषः स पूर्णः परमः ॥ ७ ॥ पदपाठ :- यः। अग्निम् । वायुम् । आदित्यम् । च । चितिऽभिः ।
वाभिः । व्याहृतिऽभिः । नि । दधे । पदानि ॥ ज्योतिष्पदानि । यः । भुवनेषु । अधि । इन्द्रः। परस्मात् । पुरुषः । सः। पूर्णः । परमः ।।
He, by the powers of his intelligence, by the power of speech and by the power of (three) vyahrtis, placed three steps in the form of Agni, Vayu and Aditya. Again, he planted the steps of light in the three worlds. He is Indra, the supreme of all supremes, the Purusha who is perfect.
अन्वयभाष्यम् । यः आत्मा स्वयं चेतनः पुरुषः केवलः सन् चित्तिभिः चिच्छक्तिभिः चैतन्यज्योतिष्कलात्मिकाभि: वाग्भिः व्याहृतिरूपाभिश्च सह अग्निं वायुं आदित्यं चेति त्रीणि पदानिनिदधे स्थापयामास, यश्च पुनः तान्येव ज्योतिष्पदानि अधिदैवतसत्त्वपूर्णानि त्रिषु भुवनेषु पृथिव्यन्तरिक्षास्थानेषु अन्तः अधिष्ठानरूपेण तदाधिपत्येन च निदधे ॥ सः इन्द्रः पारमैश्वर्यादिसर्वगुणपरिपूर्णः परस्मात् ज्योतिर्मयात् दैवतात् सर्वस्मादपि परमः परतमः पूर्णः पुरुषः एव भवितुमर्हतीति ॥
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION Atma being himself pure consciousness, established through the powers of intelligence, of speech and of the three vyåhstis, three steps in the form of Agni, Vayu and Aditya. Again, he planted steps of light in the three worlds, earth, mid-air and sky, as their (Agni, Vayu and Aditya ) basic seats. He is above all the gods who are full of light. He is Purusha and the perfect one.
अष्टमी ऋक् । यो वा विद्युतः परः सन् सहसेन्द्रो विद्यत एवा जजान विश्वमेतत् ।
