अत्र "रसो वै सः । एष वानन्दयति" (ब्र. उ.७) इति, “एषोऽस्य परम आनन्दः एतस्यैवानन्दस्य अन्यानि भूतानि मात्रामुपजीवन्ति” (बृ. उ. ४-३-३२) इत्यादिवचन प्रमाणम् ॥
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION He is indeed Rasa, the principle of pleasure. Well-known in the Vedas as the soul of joy, you are Rasătmă His very nature is delight. Cf: Rasa indeed he is ( Taittiriya). He is Rasavan, full of all Rasas. He is Rasapatilord of all Rasas, the very source and abode of Rasas. He is the Rasa of all Rasas, the best of all Rasas. His very nature is Brahmananda, the indivisible highest delight of Brahma. He is the lord of all good things. He makes all beings happy. All these beings derive their happiness from him, i.e., he makes them all happy like himself, as Agni (fire) converts a ball of iron into a fiery mass. He makes all beings enjoy Rasas. I seek only Indra, the full, the very soul of delight for internal peace. I do so with knowledge and yoga.
सप्तमी ऋक् । यो असौ प्रियो यः प्रियपतिः परः प्रियाणां यः प्रियतमः सत्पतिः ॥ तस्य प्रियस्यैव शर्मणः प्रियोऽह
मिन्द्रमेव तं वृणे शङ् गमध्यै ॥ ७ ॥ पदपाठ :- यः । असौ । प्रियः । यः । प्रियऽप॑तिः । परः ।
प्रियाणाम् । यः । प्रियऽतमः । सत्ऽप॑तिः ॥ तस्य॑ । प्रियस्य॑ । एव । शर्मणः । प्रियः । अहम् । इन्द्रम् । एव । तम् । वृणे । शम् । गमध्यै ॥
Indra is dear to all indeed; he is the dear lord supreme. He is the dearest of all dear ones and a good ruler. I am dear to him, who is known as the dear one to all. I seek only that Indra, for peace and happiness.
अन्वयभाष्यम् । यः सर्वान्तरः प्रसिद्धः सर्वानुभवसिद्धः आत्मा प्रियः सर्वेषां प्रेमास्पदीभूतः यः परः श्रेष्ठः सर्वभ्यः इन्द्रियेभ्यः आन्तर: प्रियपतिः सर्वेषामपि प्रियवस्तूनां अधिष्ठानभूत: अधिपतिश्च भवति, अत एव प्रियाणां सर्वभ्यः प्रियवस्तुभ्यः प्रियतम: यः अत्यन्तं प्रियः, सत्पतिः सद्वस्तूनां मध्ये श्रेष्ठ: आत्मरूपः, तस्य च परमस्य प्रियस्य आत्मन: सर्वास्पदीभूतस्य च
