छन्दोदर्शनम् पदपाठः- यः । यज्ञे । विश्वऽथा । सम्ऽविदा । नृन् । इमान् ।
यः। आऽविवेश । चित्तिऽभिः । पुरुषः ॥ वैश्वानरः । यः । सहसा । चेर्तते । अन्तरिति । सः। सत्यः । अयं । अमृतः । विश्वऽवेदाः ।।
He who manifested himself in all the forms in the universe by the power of his consciousness, pervaded and entered into all human beings with his many powers. He is Vaiśvānara, who from within activises all with his energy. He is the truth, he is immortal and omniscient.
अन्वयभाष्यम्। यः पुरुषः चेतनः आत्मा विदा ज्ञानशक्त्या विश्वथा सर्वथा विश्वरूपेण जज्ञे स्वयमेव प्रादुर्बभूव, तथा तैरेव विश्वभूतैः सह योगेन आविर्भूतान् इमान् प्रत्यक्षसिद्धान् नरान् विश्वान् प्राणभृत: चित्तिभिः चेतनाशक्तिभिः संविद्-इच्छा-क्रियात्मिकाभि: जनयामास, जज्ञे इति पूर्वत्र अन्वयः, ततश्च आत्मनः सकाशादाविर्भूतान् तान् इमान् विश्वान् नरान् प्राणिवर्गान् ताभिरेव चेतनाभिः सह आविवेश प्राविशत्, यः विश्वेषां नराणां अन्तः प्रवेशेन सिद्धः वैश्वानरः विश्वात्मा सहसा बलेन ऐन्द्रेण प्राणसत्त्वेन अन्त: आत्मनि शरीरे च चेतते अन्तर्हदये चेतन्यकलये स्फुरति, तदिदं सर्वानुभवसिद्धमेव || सोऽयं अन्तरात्मा सत्यः नित्यसिद्ध ः अमृतः नित्यमुक्तः अमृतात्मा विश्ववेदाः सर्वज्ञश्च स्वयं भवतीति ।।
अस्मिन् अर्थे ऋङ्मन्त्रवर्णः- “न तं विदाथ य इमा जजानान्यद् युष्माकमन्तरं बभूव" (ऋ. मं. १०-८२-७) इति ॥ अयं मन्त्रः तदिदं लोकप्रसिद्ध अज्ञानमनुश्रावयति सर्वेषां एतेषां उत्पादनेन तेषु अन्तः प्रविष्टस्य तस्य परमस्य आत्मनः स्वरूपतत्त्वज्ञानं न भवति, तच्च ज्ञानं विशिष्टेन साधनेन आन्तरेण धीयोगेन तपसैव भवितुमर्हतीति ॥
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION He that is the Atmā, who is in the form of Chetanå, conscious energy, manifested himself as omnifarious with the power of his consciousness. Again with the same power he entered all these human and other living beings in the form of knowledge, desire and action. As Vaišvånara, he entered into all. He is the soul of all, and is supported by Indra, and by the strength of prāņa which gives energy and acts. He is truth eternal. He is immortal and always without any binding. He is omniscient and independent. Cf.: “You could not know Him, who created all these and who is within you.” (Rg. X-82-7).
