________________ २० ( TOWARDS THE ETERNAL WORLD Without implement and experience, knowledge is not so useful. Right knowledge which is implemented in the life, makes us proceed on the path of eternal world. Knowledge devoid of implement is like a burden. Knowledge is an equipment. Using it we should know our eternal wealth of virtues and try to attain it. After gaining knowledge, we shouldn't grow outwards, but we should grow inwards. True scholar doesn't get engrossed in worldly matters. He dives in his soul. So, he sees the world with a new angle. Thus, after gaining true knowledge we should abstain from the worldly matters and march on the eternal path. Yogsar' is a scripture which leads us to the path of soulpurity. Yog means religious rituals. Sar means essence. The essence of all the religious rituals is to attain omniscence through soulsublimation. This essence is very well described in this scripture named Yogsar. This scripture is divided into five 'Prastavas'. The first prastava, containing fortysix anushtub verses, describes the true nature of Parmatma. The second prastava, containing thirtyeight verses, depicts the true nature of religion which is the essence of all the elements. The third prastava, containing thirtyone verses, shows the importance of apathy. The fourth prastava, containing fortytwo verses, narrates the importance of spirit. The fifth prastava, containing fortynine verses, shows the importance of emotional sublimation. Thus, this scripture is composed of two hundred and six anushtub verses. The author has described the above-mentioned topics very well with the help of illustrations and logics. To make the soul, which is constantly engrossed in the external world, engrossed in the eternal world, this scripture is a materpiece. This scripture is composed by an unknown saint of the past. Being desireless of publicity he has not mentioned his name anywhere in the scripture. He was a great practitioner of eternal rites. After a deep study of many scriptures, he has presented the essence of his experience in this scripture. He has greatly obliged us by composing this scriputre. He has not mentioed the composition-year anywhere in this scripture. So, we are not able to know about the period during which he ornamented this earth. The verses composed by him in this scripture are simple, but filled with great hidden meaning. This hidden meaning can be known by deep thinking.
