नियमसार
Ācārya Pūjyapāda's Samādhitaňtram: अपमानादयस्तस्य विक्षेपो यस्य चेतसः । नापमानादयस्तस्य न क्षेपो यस्य चेतसः ॥३८॥
जिसके चित्त का राग-द्वेषादि-रूप परिणमन होता है उसके अपमानादिक होते हैं। जिसके चित्त का राग-द्वेषादि-रूप परिणमन नहीं होता है उसके अपमानादिक नहीं होते हैं।
The mind that is distracted – sullied with attachment (raga) and aversion (dvesa) - experiences affective states like dishonour or disgrace. The mind that is composed – rid of attachment and aversion - does not experience affective states like dishonour or disgrace.
