Ravana as Ramana2 or Ramvaņa, Vanara as Vanara, somara as savara, eva as emva, kdettha as kaittha, java as jdrva, jamva, java cciya as javan ciya, tava as tamva, tamva, dva cei ya as tavam ciya, nivvana as nevyana, pi hu as pi ha, vi hu as vi ha and Sattuggha as Sottujjha. (ii) Instrumental plural case-ending is often him instead of hi e. g., ganaharehim 1.10 and kusumehith 4.13. (iii) Accusative singular of the base in & and i is often endingless, e. g. sibiya 3.132 and samuppati 4.20, MS. K (i) There are notable errors regading the placement of the matra-putting an aditional matra or omitting or displacing it. (ii) It generally spells keertha for keitiha. (iii) It often spells Ramana and Vanara for Ravana and Vanara respectively. (iv) It has a lesser number of instrumental plurals in him as compared with J. (v) It has often accusative singulars in an and in for the feminine bases ending in a and i. MS, Kh (i) It has a considerable number of errors as regards the use of matrds and anusvāra, (ü) Sometimes it drops the indeclinable ca altogether and at times it puts additional ca. G) In the last two or three cantos of PC 1 in third personal singular termination and medial 8.1 and d elsewhere are found to be retained. (iv) It generally spells keittha as keertha. (v) It often spells Ravana as Ramana. (vi) It has more frequently instrumental plurals in him as compared with K, but less frequently as compared with J. (vii) It has often feminine accusatives in am and it. C. MISCELLANEOUS (i) Vowel Variation and Sandbi : (a) In K and Kh uttama is sometimes wtitten as ultima. (b) J has retained diphthong al at these places : Vaidehi for Vaidehf 26.75; 94,33; 101.29 (c) J has a few cases in which residue t has formed sandhi with the preceding 1 : thivarsa (tbiivarsa) 1.32 khigoyarehim (khiigoyarehim) 53.43, marihi (marihii) 23.10 and similarly pdvihi 26.64, kahi 28.84, hifiht 28.86, dharihi 96.36 etc. 1.
