The museum is situated on the campus of Shreyas Foundation in the charmin atmosphere of Shreyas Hill. The exhibition halls are air conditioned. Various objects c folk art and culture arc on display in the museum. The important exhibits includ colourful embroidery, bead works, wood carvings, metal images and utensils, leathe works, costumes, animal decorations, objects of household use etc. The museum ex hibits represent various aspects of ethnic cultures of Kathi, Rabari, Ahir, Charar Bharwad, Kanbi, Koli, Mer, Bhansali, Rajput, Brahmin, Bania, Meghwal, Khoja, Bohr: Meman Miana and many other tribal communities.
Calico Museum of Textiles, Retreat, Shahibaug, Ahmedabad
The Muscum was established in 1949. It is run by Sarabhai Foundation. Thi is the only specialised Textile Museum of India.
The museum is remarkable in many respects. It is the first muscum in India t take up the study of textile history and technology of India. The visual display c representative collections of Indian textile heritage is supplemented by a library c books and magazines dealing with textiles costumes and technology. This histori textile museum is rich in collections of ancient costumes, embroidery works, cotto painting and printing etc. The museum is noted for its publications. Important publ cations are:

Museum of the Tribal Research and Training Institute, Gujarat Vidyapith,
Ahmedabad.
The museum was established in 1962 as the University Museum. The muscur is noted for ethnological materials especially belonging to the Tribals of Gujarat. Fol musical instruments, agricultural implements, tribal ornaments, ritual masks, tribal hous plan, tribal art objects, tribal craft objects etc. are noteworthy.
Natural History Museum near Kankaria Zoo, Ahmedabad
The museum came into existence in 1975. It is a part of the Zoo run by th Municipal Corporation of the Ahmedabad City. The museum has been organised by th Zoo Superintendent who is also head of the Muscum.
The museum presents fifteen skilfully prepared attractive dioramas of rare bir and mammals of Gujarat. The birds and mammals have been displayed in their life lik habitats presented in their natural surroundings. The mammals and birds are displaye in different pose and postures in order to create realistic effect on the mind of th visitors.
