The museum possesses antiquities as well as objects which represent cultures that are disappcaring fast. It has preserved evidences of past occupations, Industries, handicrafts, historical personalitics, costumes and textiles, metalware, porcelain, glass ware, furniture, wood carving, paintings, old books, stamps, stuffed specimens of animals & birds, marine specimans like couch, shells, corals, precious stones in which different phases of the moon and eclipse appcar, pottery, furniture, machinary, musical instruments, arins, papers, sculptures, coins, educational models, Ancient Manuscripts, printed books, ornaments enamelwarc ctc. The specimens are methodically classfied in Sections and alloted an alphabet in order to facilitate casy documentation.
Thc philatelic gallery displays post-Independence stamps. All the postal stamps released since 1947 have been exhibited in correct sequence along with its information. The muscum collection exceeds above Eleven thousand pieces which include gifts too.
This Museum serves as a valuable centre of Arts, Culture and cducation, as said it is not only a homage to the past but also an inspiration to the future.
