Medical College, Ahicdabad, there are a number of museums of which Anatomy muscuin and pathology museum maintained by respective depa ments are well organised and well arranged. The Anatomy museum is near the Anator wing and the Pathology muscum is near the pathology wing. The Anatomy musel contains hundreds of specimens of various organs removed from cadaver bodies a arc mounted in bottles with preservatives. They not only contain specimens showi normal pattern of the different organs, but also they contain specimens of varig organs of the body showing abnormalities. The specimens are prepared by dissecti by various doctors working in the department from the cadavers and the specimens : mounted showing normal and abnormal anatomical structures. The museum also sho specimens representing the ambryonic development of human foetus at its varic stages of development. The muscum is spread over the various floors and conta specimens well preserved and well maintained. The credit for all these goes to vario professors, tutors and demonstrators working in the anatomy department, whose pai taking efforts have given shape to the present muscum in the Anatomy departmei The Pathology Museum is near the pathology department. It also conta hundreds of specimens showng different organs. The specimens are obtained at po mortem done in the pathology department and at operations done at civil hospitali specimens showing diseased states in various organs like tuberculosis, cancer, pneur. nia, inflammations, tumors ctc. are preserved in bottles with preservatives. The spe mens are numbered and charts bearing the numbers mention the disceased condit in the specimens. As like the Anatomy department, the museum owes its present sta due to the painstaking efforts of various doctors working as professors, lecturers demonstrators who have prepared the specimens and maintained them in proper F servatives to avoid decomposition. Almost all types of diseases occuring in the be in different organs can be visualized in the specimens those are mounted. The path ogy muscum is spread over 2-3 floors of the side wing of the pathology departmı There are also other departments like pharmecology, forensic department They contain their muscum collections in the departments. The Pharmecology dep ment has various plants, herbs, seeds ctc. which are used for medical purposes and preserved in bottles. The Forensic department has its departmental collections show various posions and charts showing their treatinent.
