The Harrappan and Mohan-Jo-Daro archaeological sites have bec included within the territorial limits of Pakistan. Lothal is the only protohistoric chalcolih site in India which can be compared to Mohan-Jo-Daro and Harrappa. This is the only Central Government Museum in Gujarat. Modasa College Museum, Modasa. The muscum was established in 1965. The museum is rich in archacologic antiquities. The Jain Tirthankara images made of white and black marble are ver interesting. Most of these images are conspicuous by the presence of inscription inscribed on them. The sand stone image of Sun-god, Shiva and Parvati, Vishņu ar Vaishnavi arc important. The museum is well organised and rich in stone sculpture inscriptions, tribal art and rarc manuscripts on stagcablc plays written during the 191 century. Over and above these, the muscum possesses folk musical instruments, wcal ons, ornaments belonging to the tribal population of Sabarkantha and Panchmahals Dramatic Art Museum, Morbi : The museum was established in 1965. It is run by a private trust. The museu is noted for collection of manuscripts on dramatic art and drama literatures from ear to modern period. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Art and Industrial Museum, Sonifalia, Surat. The muscum was established in 1891. It is run by the authorities of the Mi nicipal Corporation of the Surat city. It was named after the collector of Surat M Winchester The important collections are: wood carvings, metal and stone sculptures, ivoi and sandalwood objects, oil paintings, natural history objects, miniature painting terracotta, porcelain, textiles, manuscripts etc. It is a multipurposc museum. The colle tion on textiles and wooden objects are noteworth. Museum of Art and Archaeology, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University, Vallat Vidyanagar. The museum came into existence in 1949. It was originally known as 'Art ar Archacology Museum'. Now it has become a multipurpose type of museum and known popularly as University Muscum. The muscum is noted for its collcction on bronzes and stone sculptures. Near 2500 bronzes belonging to various countries of South-East Asia are on display.
