Barton Muscum, Bhavnagar :
The Museum was established in 1882. There are nearly 25 categories of exhibits in the museum and they include stone and bronze sculptures, coins, palm-leaf, folk art, weapons, ancient pottery, marine specimens, geological specimens. paintings, bead work and embroidery, archaeological antiquities etc. There are nearly 16,700 exhibits in the possession of the museum including coins. Adjacent to this museum, there are three other small museums housed in the same building namely- (1) Gandhi memorial Muscum (2) Children Museum and (3) Art and Crafts Museum.
Gandhi Museum, Gandhi Smriti, Bhavnagar :
The muscum was established in 1955. It is run by Gandhi Smriti trust, Bhavnagar. Rare photographs, documents and personal relics of Mahatma Gandhi are displayed in the muscum.
The Madan Singhji Museum, Bhuj
The museum was established in January 1978. It is known as "Aina Mahel" which is a period room of 16-17th Century A.D. The muscum is run by the private trust. The museum is noted for its collection on miniature paintings, wood carvings, glassworks of art. The museum itself is a period room of 16-17 centuries A.D. reflecting the art and architecture of Kachchh of that period. The museum is very interesting.
Over and above these museums enumerated above, there are museums which are noted for their special collections meant for research and reference works.

The museum was established in 1960. It is run by the private trust. The museum collections include coins, sculptures, wood carvings, manuscripts etc. Lothal Museum at Lothal
It is an archaeological site museum administered by the Central Government. The museum was established in 1977. Lothal is famous archacological site revealing the relics on the extension of the Indus-Valley civilization in Gujarat. The museum is situated adjacent to the Lothal archacological site. The museum has put on display cultural properties which have been unearthed as a result of archaeological excavation at Lothal. The important relics on display include earthen pots and containers of various sizes and shapes, seals and sealings with inscriptions and figures, ornaments made of terracotta, shells, stone and copper, figures and images made out of terracotta, copper and bronzes, gold articles meant for self adoration and so on.
All these antiquities of the Lothal museum belong to the chalcolithic protohistoric
