disciples, according to the sage rules, wandering from village to village happily came to Pūrnabhadra garden of Campā city. Knowing about the arrival of Ganadhara Sudharma Swāmi, the citizens full of faith came to bow down to him and to listen his religious sermon. Ganadhara Sudharmā gave religious sermon to present congregation. Listening that sermon many persons accepted the vows of renunciation and expiation and afterwards went back to their houses. At that time and at that period, the favourite or always living near disciple of Sudharmā Swāmī, after the departure of the congregation, Arya Jambū courteously bowing down asked-O Bhagawan (Bhante) ! The beginner (propagator) of religion Sramana Bhagawāna Mahāvīra Swāmi described this subject matter of seventh Angasūtra, then 0 Bhagawan ! What subject matter he described in the Eighth Angaśāstra- Anta-kriddaśā Sūtra ?
विवेचन
इन सूत्रों में ‘जाव’ और ‘वण्णओ' इन दो शब्दों का बार-बार प्रयोग हुआ है । आगे भी होगा और अनेक सूत्रों में इनका प्रयोग होता है । दोनों शब्दों का प्रयोजन इस प्रकार है
जाव-अर्थात्-‘यावत्'' यानी जब तक, वहाँ तक । इस शब्द से यह संकेत किया जाता है कि इस विषय का विस्तृत पाठ और विस्तृत वर्णन अन्य स्थान पर किया गया है, उसे यहाँ पर भी प्रसंगानुसार समझ लेना चाहिए ।
वण्णओ-शब्द का प्रयोग उस सम्बन्धित प्रसंग व विषय वस्तु की अनेक विशेषताओं पर प्रकाश डालने के लिए किया जाता है । वर्णनीय वस्तुएँ अनेक हैं, उनके गुण विशेषताएं भी अनेक हैं । जिस प्रकार नगर, पर्वत, उद्यान, राजा आदि का वर्णन जिस-जिस स्थान पर विस्तारपूर्वक किया गया है ।
