No. I. j Jain Temples, Monks and Nuns in Poona City 25 requisites were a pot made of wood for receiving alms (भिक्षापात्र), a blanket, a रजोहरण (for cleaning and wiping the place they sit upon), a मुहपत्ती (a piece of white cloth covering the mouth), and a walking stick (दंडा). Inspite of the fact that they had मुहपत्ती none of them had actually covered his mouth with it.
They all belonged to the games which has three subdivisions e.g. सागरगच्छ, विमलगच्छ and विजयगच्छ. Out of these three गच्छ, the monks belonging to the first and the last 177 visit Poona in large numbers, while those belonging to the faites do not do so in large number. There is no difference in part in these three subdivisions of तपागच्छ.
There is also other Tex which is called EPTAT , and the diffe. rence between games and ET CTCITEE even though slight, is no negligible.
(6) The तपागच्छ monks believe in पंचकल्याण, while the खरतर. गच्छीयs believe in छकल्याण: Besides the usual पंचकल्याण:1s the खरतरः believe that the conception of heatit in a Brahmin family 18 (before he was transferred to the womb of तिसाला खत्तियाणी), was also a कल्याण The तपागच्छीय monks ignore this and say that the conception of महावीर in a क्षत्रीय family is to be taken as a कल्याण.
(ii) The monks belonging to the afines use a red coloured bowl while those of the खरतरगच्छ use black coloured bowl.
(iii) The annual प्रतिक्रमण Fis done by those belonging to the खरतरगच्छ on भाद्रपद शु० ५, while those belonging to the तपागच्छ do it on भाद्रपद शु०४.
(iv) The खरतरगच्छीयs do not allow women to worship the images of तीर्थकर.
