कल्याणभारती

(૨૩) न कोऽपिवा नेता नारक न वा दिव
न कोऽपि वा मोचयिता भवावटात् । स्वकर्मणाऽऽत्मा लभते सुखासुख
स्वपौरुषाद् धाम च पारमेश्वरम् ।।
* નથી કોઈ નરકમાં લઈ જનાર કે નથી કોઈ સ્વર્ગ આપનાર, તેમ જ નથી કોઈ પ્રાણીને ભવચકમાંથી છૂટો કરનાર. પ્રાણ પિતાના જ કર્મથી શુભઅશુભ ગતિ યા સુખ-દુઃખ પામે છે, અને પોતાનું જ પ્રખર આત્મબળ ફેરવીને પારમેશ્વરી સ્થિતિને પ્રાપ્ત કરે છે. ૧૩
• There is none to lead us to hell or to heaven, and none to emancipate us from the cycle of rebirths. It is because of one's acts alone that one goes to varying birth-places good or bad and gets happiness or misery; and one attains Godship (the final emancipation) only through one's own (spiritual) efforts of the best kind. 13
