(૮) मांसाहारो हि हिंसाज: क्रौर्यजः क्रौर्यवर्धनः । श्रेयोघात्यङ्गभृद्धातोत्तेजकस्त्यागमर्हति ।।

* માંસાહાર હિંસાથી પેદા થાય છે. તે ક્રૂરતામાંથી પેદા થઇ ક્રૂરતાને વધારે છે. તે શ્રેયસૂના નાશ કરનાર છે અને પ્રાણિદ્ધિસાને ઉત્તેજનાર છે. માટે તે ત્યાજ્ય છે. ૮

* Meat-diet accrues from animal-slaughter. It has its origin in cruelty, and further engenders and enhances cruelty, It is a destroyer of well-being and stimulant of animal-killing. It therefor. deserves to be shunned. 8
