• Exertion is useful in the manifestation of good luck. The theory of Fate does not deny the usefulness of exertion, but welcomes it.
Fate and exertion both are inter-dependent and mutually closely connected. Of course, which may be the more powerful of them, defeats the other.
The idea of fate being truly taken into consideration, mind being not agonized by grief, can remain quiet even at the time of adversities.
And likewise even at the time of happiness, happiness being considered as the result of merit earned by devotion to God, man would not be elated with pride and become gentle. 9-10-11-12 [ Whatever good action we do or whatever virtue we observe is the adoring of God. Thus the earning of merit is due to God-adoration. ]
