321. A bhikshu or bhikshuni hears various sounds such as those produced in gardens, woodlands, portions of jungles, temples, assembly halls, water-huts or other such places. But he should never resolve to go to some place to hear these sounds.
३२२. से भिक्खू वा २ अहावेगइयाइं सद्दाइं सुणेइ, तं जहा-अट्टाणि वा अट्टालयाणि वा चरियाणि वा दाराणि वा गोपुराणि वा अण्णयराणि वा तहप्पगाराई सद्दाई णो अभिसंधारेज्जा गमणाए। __ ३२२. पुनश्च अटारियों में, प्राकार से सम्बद्ध अट्टालयों में, नगर के मध्य में स्थित राजमार्गों में द्वारों या नगर-द्वारों तथा इसी प्रकार के अन्य स्थानों में शब्दों को सुनने हेतु जाने का संकल्प न करे।
322. A bhikshu or bhikshuni hears various sounds such as those produced in lofts, buildings adjoining a parapet, roads within the city, gates, city gates or other such places. But he should never resolve to go to some place to hear these sounds.
३२३. से भिक्खू वा २ अहावेगइयाइं सद्दाइं सुणेइ, तं जहा-तियाणि वा चउक्काणि वा चच्चराणि वा चउमुहाणि वा अण्णयराई वा तहप्पगाराई सद्दाई णो अभिसंधारेज्जा गमणाए।
३२३. जैसे कि तिराहों पर, चौकों में, चौराहों पर चतुर्मुख मार्गों में तथा इसी प्रकार के अन्य स्थानों में शब्दों को श्रवण करने के लिए जाने का संकल्प न करे। __323.
