once or many times, the ascetic should avoid that para-kriya with mind, speech and body.
___(c) In case some householder anoints, rubs or massages a $ tumor, piles, boil or fistula on the body of an ascetic with oil,
butter or fat, the ascetic should avoid that para-kriya with mind, speech and body.
(d) In case some householder rubs or cleanses a tumor, piles, boil or fistula on the body of an ascetic with lodhra, karka, powder or dye, the ascetic should avoid that para-kriya with mind, speech and body.
(e) In case some householder sprinkles or washes a tumor, piles, boil or fistula on the body of an ascetic with uncontaminated cold or hot water, the ascetic should avoid that para-kriya with mind, speech and body.
(f) In case some householder cuts or incises a tumor, piles, boil or fistula on the body of an ascetic with some surgical instruments, or cuts or incises and extracts or removes pus and blood from it, the ascetic should avoid that para-kriya with mind, speech and body.
विशेष शब्दों के अर्थ 'गंड' आदि शब्दों के अर्थ-प्राकृत कोश के अनुसार गंड शब्द के गालगंड-मालारोग, गाँठ, ग्रन्थी, फोड़ा, स्फोटक आदि अर्थ होते हैं। 'अरइयं' (अरइ) के अर, अर्श, मस्सा, बबासीर आदि अर्थ मिलते हैं। 'पुलयं' (पुल) का अर्थ छोटा फोड़ा या फँसी होता है। अच्छिंदणं-एक बार या थोड़ा-सा छेदन। विच्छिंदणं-बहुत बार या बार-बार अथवा अच्छी तरह छेदन करना। (पाइअ-सद्द महण्णवो) ___ 'आलेप' के तीन अर्थ निशीथ चूर्णि, पृ. २१५-२१७ पर मिलते हैं। आलेवो त्रिविधो
वेदणपसमकारी, पाककारी, पुतादिणीहरणकारी। अर्थात् आलेप तीन प्रकार का है-(१) वेदना - शान्त करने वाला, (२) फोड़ा पकाने वाला, (३) मवाद निकालने वाला।
