X no. 2. p. 120). ] The word kirata- occurs in Silanka's commentary on Sūtrakṛtānga (Agamodaya Samiti edition folio 234) and the quotation is "brah manam doḍamiti brüyat tatha vanijam kirātam iti". It occurs in Bhagavata Purana also in Skandha 12 Adhyaya 3 Śloka 35. The quotation is"panayiş yati vai kṣudrāḥ kirataḥ kutakarinaḥ". It occurs in Rajatarangini at VIII 132.
