[Gloss on hadi- at MP. 7 13 8. The word is a Sanskratised form of MIA. khoda-, cf, khoda-= sīmā-nirdhāraka kāştha-, 'a boundary post (D. 2 30) & PSM. khodi(D)= 'a large block of wood'; cf. G. khod= . 'a large block of wood' and Kon. khodo= 'fetters'.1
