greater advantage in these respects. Our transport system lacks co-ordination and cost of transport is far too dear. We depend for the stability of our public finance upon very limited and inelastic sources of revenue and the expansion of benificial Governmental activities is seriously hampered by the inelasticity of their revenue. There is again growing unemployment which destroys the morale of the rising generation and has introduced into the economic structure germs of dangerous malady. While nothing seems to be done to develop our internal trade our foreign trade is facing heavy odds and shrinking rapidly." અને તદ હિન્દી રાજ્યત ત્રમાં આર્થિક શ્રેય સાધનાર મડળ સ્થાપવા તેઓ કહે છે અને છેવટમાં આર્થિક યેાજના રચાનું સૂચવે છે, તે હાલ તુરત માટે ઉત્તમ મા જણાય છે, આપણે પ્રજા તરીકે પગભર થવું હોય તે। આપણી આર્થિક ગુંચાની ઉકેલમાં જ આપણા ઉદ્દાર રહેલા છે.
ધર્મના વિષયમાં આદ્યાચાર અદૃશ્ય થવા માંડયા છે અને અંતરની બુદ્ધિ વધે જાય છે, તેમ એક બીજા ધર્મ પ્રત્યે આદરભાવ અને સહિષ્ણુતાની લાગણી મદ્યુત બની છે. આગળના જેવું વૈમનસ્ય કે ઝનુન પ્રજામાં હવે જણાતું નથી; ઉલ્ટું પરસ્પર ભ્રાતૃભાવ કેળવાતા જાય છે, નીતિ અને ચારિત્રમાં પણ નવી પ્રજા અગાડી વધેલી છે. નવી ઉછરતી પ્રજા ટીલાં ટપકાં કરતી નહિ હોય, મદિરે જતી નહિ હોય, પેાતાને કોઇ અમુક સંપ્રદાય કે ધર્માંના અનુયાયી કહેવડાવવાને ઉત્સુક નહિ હાય, પણ તેથી તે ધ` રહિત છે એમ માનવાનું કાંઇ કારણ નથી. તે ધર્મીના હાર્દને બરાબર સમજે છે. સત્ય, અહિંસા, દયા, અને પ્રેમમાં દૃઢ શ્રદ્દા ધરાવે છે, અંતરના અવાજને સાંભળે છે અને માન આપે છે. સૈા એકજ પિતાના પુત્રા છે અને ભાઈઓ છે એવી તેમની સમજ દૃઢ થતી જાય છે અને વધુમાં તે નિયમિત રીતે પ્રભુ પ્રાર્થના કરે છે, એટલુંજ નહિ પણ મનુષ્ય સેવામાં તે માનતા થયા છે. મનુષ્યને ઈશ્વર સ્વરૂપ સમજીને તેના ઉત્કર્ષ અને ઉદ્દારમાં તે તત્પર રહે છે.
