II Theirin they have fruit and they shall have what they call for.
III These shall have a stated provision of fruit and they shall be housed in the gardens of pleasure upon couches facing each other. They shall be served all round with a cup from a spring white and delicious to tho:e who drink wherein is no insidious spirit nor shall they be druk therewith.
IV Dishes of gold and pitchers shall be sent round to then therein is what should desire and the eyes shall be delighted and re then shall dwell for aye; for that is paradise which ye are given as an inheritance for that which ye have done. Therein shall ye have much fruit whereuf to eat.
V The similitude of paradise which is promised to the pious in it are rivers of water without corruption and the rivers of milk th taste whereof changes not and rivers of honey clarified; and there they · shall hi ve much fruit.

In the above quotations the thing which strikes a reader mos of all is the repeated mention of fruits and the total exclusion of mea In my opinion these repetitions are intended to impress upon the min of the reader that God desires that man shouli abstain from meat an take to the rational and natural diet consisting of fruits, honey, mil and other things made or producel with his own hand.
The Devout and pious people of every religion abst:in fro meat. The saint Derelict rules prohibit the flesh of quartrupeds to a except the feeble and the sick; the rule of St Francis iä severely Veg tarian forbidding even eggs and milk; and the monks of St Dominic and St. Basil orders are all vegetarians.
