community depends to see what things they are capable of doing ani managing and give advantage of their good company, learning and hig thonghts, thus converting this gathering into an educative movement.
Secondly this stimulates the spirit of unity, brotherhood & love among the students, inter se as well as with their elders, teaches them hon to behave mannerly and affectionately and infuses activity. Such a gathering has a better advantage than other gatherings held in the Colleges and Schools. It being exclusively Jain, only attracts and draws those who have common religion, common community and so common interests By these common interests ail the personal prejudices tend to evaporate and differences to sink, and brotherhood-a part of the Universal Brother hood the motto of Jainism pervades and permeates all.
The Managing Committee subunits that permanency of such a gathering should be ensured and so it proposes to establish ar institution such as Jain Students' Brotherhood ' under the auspice of which every year such a gathering may be held. This Brotherhouc will discuss Social, Literary, religious & political subjects affecting the Jain Community under the able and beneficent guidance of our leading men and report all its work and proceedings every year at the succeeding Jain Students' Social Gathering. This gathering is in its in-fancy & comes into being for the first time. It is therefore subject to fault: & deficiencies, but its ideal of love and brotherhood being unifying and lufry, you will kindly excuse us for discrepancies that are likely tu be crept in through us & us alone.

In fine we hope that after this nights' proceelings are over, a!) shall part as friends with better feelings, impressions, and knowledge abont each other and we close this with this much to sar:
If some hearts in perfect sympathy
Bent with other answering love for love; We the students, all entrancel on earth would lie Shall listen for those purer strains above.
