अवन्तिः -न्ती /: [अव-बाहु अिच् Un. 3.50.] 1N. of: city, the mordern उज्जयिनी, 0110 of the seven sacred citius. of the Hindus, to dic at which is said to secure eternal happiness: ef. अयोध्या मथुरा माया काशी काश्चिरवन्तिका। पुरी द्वागवती चैव सप्तेना मोक्षदायिकाः || The women, of Avanti ore said to be very skilful in all erotic aarts; cf. आवन्त्य एव निपुणाः मुदृशो रतकर्मणि B. 12. 10.82. -2 N. of a river.
