only, look only at the path, employ wisdom only in proper movement, etc. The commentator (Churni) indicates that these adjectives refer to both acharya and irya whereas the commentator (Tika) connects them only with acharya; for example
(1) Taddithiye-The disciple should abandon his own dogmas and think only according to the guru's view.
(2) Tammuttiye - He should be engrossed in the word of the guru. (3) Tappurakkare - Always give priority to guru's order. (4) Tassanni—Get fully involved in guru's preaching.
(5) Tannivesane-Should be absorbed in the thoughts of the guru.
In Uttaradhyayan Sutra the interpretation of these terms has been done with reference to irya-samiti. The commentator (Churni) is also of the opinion that the Chapter on Irya in Ayara Chula has been developed on the basis of this aphorism only.

१६४. एगया गुणसमियस्स रीयतो कायसंफासमणुचिण्णा एगतिया पाणा उद्दायंति । इहलोग - वेयण - वेज्जावडियं ।
जं आउट्टिक कम्मं तं परिण्णाय विवेगमेति ।
एवं से अप्पमाएण विवेगं किट्टति वेयवी ।
१६४. यतनापूर्वक प्रवृत्ति करते हुए गुणसमित (गुणयुक्त) अप्रमादी मुनि के शरीर का स्पर्श पाकर कदाचित् कुछ प्राणी परिताप पाते हैं अथवा कुछ प्राणी मर जाते हैं, तो उसके इस जन्म में वेदन करने (भोगने ) योग्य कर्म का बन्ध होता है।
( किन्तु प्रमत्त मुनि के द्वारा) आकुट्टि से - अविधिपूर्वक प्रवृत्ति करते हुए जो कर्मबन्ध होता है, उसका विवेक-क्षय, ज्ञपरिज्ञा से प्रायश्चित्त द्वारा किया जाता है।
इस प्रकार अप्रमाद से कर्मों का क्षय होता है, ऐसा आगमज्ञानी कहते हैं ।
