(4) (or) An ascetic may have resolved—“Neither I will bring food (etc.) for co-religionist ascetics nor I will accept food (etc.) brought by them."
(Once an ascetic takes any of these four vows he should not break it even if he is very sick or in a grave predicament and he looses his life doing so).
This way, knowing the path shown by Bhagavan, properly following the codes laid down, that ascetic becomes serene, detached, and spiritually absorbed in lofty leshyas (the colourcode indicator of purity of soul; pious attitude, here).
(Thus, if that ailing ascetic abandons his body by fasting or other austerities while observing his vow) it is his normal death. As a result of this meditational death he may achieve the final termination of the cycles of rebirth (ant-kriya).
Thus this death is part of the process of getting liberated from the attachment for one's body and is advantageous in the next incarnations.
-So I say. विवेचन-प्रस्तुत सूत्र में वर्णित प्रकल्प परिहार-विशद्धि चारित्र वाले अथवा यथालंदक मुनियों का है।
चूर्णि तथा वृत्ति के अनुसार इनकी समाचारी इस प्रकार होती है-परिहार-विशुद्धि चारित्र वाला मुनि ग्लान हो जाता है तो उसकी सेवा दूसरा परिहार-विशुद्धि वाला मुनि करता है। अथवा कोई कल्पस्थित-जिनकल्पी मुनि करता है। यदि वे भी ग्लान हो जाये तो उनके समान कल्प वाला दूसरा मुनि सेवा करता है। किन्तु स्थविरकल्पी अथवा गृहस्थों द्वारा की जाने वाली सेवा वह स्वीकार नहीं करता।
प्रकल्प का अर्थ है-आचार। अभिकांक्षा-अर्थात् निर्जरा के उद्देश्य से। आहटु-अर्थात् प्रतिज्ञा को स्वीकार करके।
आचार्य श्री आत्माराम जी म. ने बताया है कि वह अभिग्रहधारी मुनि अपनी आचार-मर्यादा में दृढ़ रहता है, किसी भी स्थिति में उसका भंग नहीं करता। अन्त में वह भक्तपरिज्ञा अनशन
