There are indeed many distinguished persons who may adorn the presidential hair, but my humble suggestion is that mr most beloved Nationalist leador Babu Aurobinda Ghoses should be offered the presidential chair. We all know how
uch he has suffered and that sacrifice ho has made for us, but we in return have virtually done nothing for him,
We have not had a single opportunity to honour him and to express our sincerest feelings. The opportunity has now one and we must not remain idle. I hope everyone will concur with me and combine his influence to make it 4 stress and I have every reason to teleive that this my appeal to my coun trymen will not go in vain.

Over three thousand people, Hindus and Muselmans, were present People from many villages in the Goa. lando ab-division and even from Kushtia, Kumarkhali, Jagati, Damukdia bindo Ghosh, and Gispati Kavyatirtha and Bara Ghat attended. Babu Aaroarrived from Calcuts on the previous previous night. Babu Satish Chandra Mazumdar, Asistant Secretary to the District Association, and Babu Mathura Nath Dhar from Faridpur arrived in the morning. Mr. Ges with 15 police officers and some const constables arrived Pangss in the same train. A huge gathering at the railway station, repeatedly shouted Bunde Mata
Mr. Giles enquired and was informed that it was for Mr. Mazumdar who was expected. Nothing unpleasant happened. Mr. Giles, was uninterfering. The meeting commenced at 3-30 P. M. Mr. Mazumdar, being unavoidably absent owing to a severe domestic misfortune the veteran Doctor Navadwip Chandra Paul presided. Resolutions strongly urging the modification of the partition and supporting Swadeshi wure unanimously adopted. Pandit Gispati spoke strongly both subjecta. Babu. Aurobindo Ghose addressed English. The gratuitous warnings, given by the Magistrate and Pulico officers, were humourously criticised. Babus Satin Chandra Mazumdar, Mathura Nath Dhar, Kedareswar Dutt, M. Rowshanali Choudhary and many others addressed the meeting effectively. Sympathy was expressed for Mr. Mazumdar. The meeting Inated till 8 r. . The President's attitude was firin and admirable. The meeting was A grand sunce. Great enthusiasm prevailed. All credit is due to Mr. Rowahanali Choudhuri for the organiza tion and the arrangements with the assistance of Babu Bireswar Lahiry. Besides the police officers over 900 chowkidars and duffadars wore present.
